Why This Keeps Happening
We're not naming these institutes to run anyone down — ISHM and IAER especially run genuinely respected BBA-level aviation programs. The problem sits at the directory layer. Aggregator sites attach "aviation" to whatever management degree an institute offers, without checking which degree level it actually sits under. Once one directory gets it wrong, others copy the list.
The fix is simple: before you shortlist a college for an MBA in aviation, open that college's own MBA or PGDM page and look for aviation by name. Five minutes there can save you two years and several lakh rupees in the wrong classroom.
Why Study in Kolkata or West Bengal Instead of Delhi or Mumbai

What do you need to apply?
Across the genuine providers we checked, the base requirement doesn't change much: a bachelor's degree in any stream, with a minimum of 50% marks. At Airway India specifically, that means a bachelor's degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks, age 20 to 26. You don't need an aviation background — commerce, arts, science, and hotel management graduates all apply and get through.
Do you need to clear CAT, MAT, or XAT?
Not everywhere, so check per institute rather than assume. Airway India's MBA admission doesn't require a national entrance exam — we assess applications on merit instead.
